Thanks to the assistance of Vassilis Kremitsas, on April 5th and 6th, the Mediterranean Chapter held its first meeting in Greece. We met 13 travelers from 7 different countries.
During the morning of the first day, we took a tour of the oldest part of Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia. Then they moved to the Mourga restaurant, where the participants could enjoy the excellence of Modern Greek seafood cuisine.
After lunch, Vassilis Kremitsas, Jose M. Jimenez, Ömer Yalkin and Wen-Hung Kuo, illustrated to the participants about the West African coast, a cruise in the Indian Ocean, the TCCs around India
and about Mauritania respectively.
At the end of the presentations, the coordinator Francesc M. Borrull, handed over this responsibility to Ömer Yalkin, who will hold the position for the next two years.
The following day, some of the TCC members were able to visit and stay in some of the main monasteries of the Monastic Republic of Mt. Athos.
