Last October 26/27, the Mediterranean Chapter held its first meeting in the Basque Country. Thanks to Ricardo Hernani, one of our members, who acted as host, 12 travelers from 4 different countries met.
During the afternoon of the first day, the participants visited the coastal town of Mundaka, famous for being one of the best world-wide destinations for surfing. They then moved to Txoco Katalin, a Basque gastronomic private society, where the participants could enjoy the excellence of Basque cuisine, prepared live by two of the Gastro society’s partners.
After dinner, Jose Jimenez illustrated to the participants about his adventure of crossing Africa by bus for 6 months, from Cape Town to Cairo.
The next day the participants met again to visit one of the best-known corners of the coast, the peninsula of S. Juan de Gaztelugatxe.
