Last March 16, the TCC MED had a meeting at the “Forn del Senyor” in Altafulla, a historic site that preserves the village’s old medieval oven. Up to 21 travelers from 4 different nationalities, of which two members of the Swedish Travelers Club : Club 100, participated in the meeting hosted by Martin Garrido.
The aim of this meeting was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first meetings between members of the TCC in the Mediterranean area and for this reason Francesc Borrull as Chapter’s coordinator handed over a commemorative diploma to the host.
Other highlights of the meeting were the delivery of the silver category diploma to David Rueda and the presentations by Ruben Arnal, who last spring managed to be UN193 on his last visited country: Turkmenistan and the presentation about current life in the Russian region of Yamalia-Nenetsia by the great Spanish traveler Alberto Campa, who just arrived from there.
Before finishing, Francesc Borrull has summarized the activities carried out by the Chapter during the 2023 and reminded the attendees of the upcoming meetings scheduled for 2024: BOLOGNA (July 13) and BILBAO (October 26) and revealed the location chosen, by vote among the members of the Chapter, to hold the V TCC MED Chapter Meeting: BEIRUT. (First tentative dates: around Easter 2025)
The attendees ended the meeting with a lively dinner at a local restaurant.
